Friday nite dinner dates

" Hey Puller! Wanna have Friday nite supper at The Tavern with the kids?" "Yep" says 'The Puller'.
There is just nothin' like our family, and we have a mess of them. Captured here is Tami, holding Anna Sophia, Chad, 'The Puller' standing next to oh, you know who, Laurie to my left with her arms around Colin.
The Tavern is locally owned and has been around for many years. Our favorite owner is the current owner. Her name is Susan and WOW is she doing a fabulous job. If you are ever in New Wilmington, PA a stop for a meal at The Tavern would be your best bet. XO, S

Whata' morning walk! Our simply great dogs scouting the land around the farm for 'whatever' their scent can follow! And, follow those scents they certainly do. Jeff sent me off a text this afternoon proudly announcin' that Megs had another ground hog rounded up and cornered. Third one in two weeks. Jeff said she was barkin' like he never heard her bark before. He hurried to the house and dusted off "Old Betsy", walked out back and there was the hog on it's back playin' dead. Jeff stretched out his leg and gave it a quick nudge when it opened it's eyes, bared it's teeth and latched on to his work boot. That was the last meal for that hog!! Megs, Oh Megs you are our best 'find' yet!!

Just couldn't resist this shot from the front porch lookin' towards the east this morning! So many morning as we (Megs, Molly, Paco and I) do our morning walk down our drive across Carter to Kreitzers and home through the field past Brian and Carolyn's little chunk of Paradise I think "I wish I had a camera", so this morning before our walk these images were captured by our little Kodak Easy Share. The silos are part of another farm, not ours, but they are beautiful standing tall reminding me and all of us to do the same as we serve our purpose here on earth in this special place in time. I'm hoping your silos have been filled and soon emptied and refilled once again as you share all of your special gifts and talents with those in your world. Posted by Picasa

The Tundra

December and the snowy days are here at 'The Land of Kem'. Of course "The Puller" was careful to inform me early on that it really wasn't snow at all you know. Here on THIS farm (Paradise as it is affectionately known by some) it's sugar. Just have to love the man. Well, this month we had lots of it. Life just couldn't be any sweeter so why not? If you say it's sugar, sugar it is Puller!

A Time to Focus

It happens to all of us . . . a dark time. Remember "All things can work for the good for those who love the Lord and are called according to His purpose".
The verse hinges on "can". Be open, open your heart and allow Him to show you the stars . . . when you 'see' them the darkness suddenly becomes illuminated. For where there is light there can no longer be darkness.
"The night is the time to see the stars"
Blessings your way
