Lost and definately found

Was on my way for a hair 'do' by Laurie at the salon one rainy Friday afternoon and 'poof' our new sweet little black lab mix appeared right before my blue eyes in the middle of the road. At first she got passed by, but one glimpse in the rear view mirror melted my heart - Meg's was doing circles in the rain. We advertised her in the lost and found section of two local newspapers, but no one called. 'Drop Offs' are common in the country so we weren't surprised. Actually we were relieved that no on claimed her - she stole our hearts. We laughed for hours watching her 'fly' around the house and the barn yard. She's a very special little girl and a welcomed addition here at 'The Land of Kem'.

Perusing the Land of Kem

'The Puller' was out in his field on his tractor when he first caught a very surprised glimpse of this big old black bear. Our guess is he weighs in at 400 pounds (the boy is eatin' our corn). This shot was captured by Carolyn our daughter-in-law at about 50 feet - that's up close and personal. Got wind that our neighbors 'caught' him on video. We'll give you a peek - stay tuned!

Morning Waning Gibbous

Morning moon over 'The Land of Kem'
It was time for a little fun with the grand girls . . . pedies were the game. We left the farm, headed to the salon and the red came off and blue, the color of choice for the girls, was painted on. Of course we needed some flowers

GOT MILK?

Yep Black and White is what you'll see in the Kemland Farms barn. Well, except for Andrea, the Brown Swiss, who belongs to little Sara! This is Clayton, the eldest grandson, posin' for Susie's camera. Can you all guess who 'the shadow' is??

Morning . . .

Morning is a favorite time of the day - the earlier the better. Corn and flowers showin' off their 'stuff' for everyone driving up the drive at 'The Land of Kem'.
